Gilbreath Memorial Library was established at its current location in 1987. The library strives hard to meet the needs of patrons who live in Franklin, Wood, and Hopkins counties. The beautiful 6,000 sq. ft. building houses over 24, 000 books, 600+ books-on-tape, 1300 video selections, a growing large print section, a wide variety of periodicals and Internet access to the public.

Our Mission

The mission of the Gilbreath Memorial Library has always been to provide and maintain the highest quality educational, informational, recreational, culture resources and services to a diverse population.

We offer a broad collection to promote lifelong reading and learning using current technology to increase access to information resources.

Tuesday - Friday      9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Saturday              9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
